do i tighten the clutch with the nut and then lapping it.. or do i just leave the clutch out.. but ima use the keys just to be safe... ..

Nope you don't tighten or even use the nut (or key) when lapping, just push the clutch all the way on and turn in one direction by hand until you can see both parts are making a perfect fit together, then clean all the lapping compound off.

Then instal the key & clutch and torque to 29 ft pounds.

PS:
Horstman sells a special tool to hold the clutch (to stop the engine from rotating) when tightening/torqueing the nut. But if you don't have that tool there's a little trick you can do instead; You simply remove the spark plug and feed a short section of clean rope down into the spark plug hole instead. The rope will wedge in between the top of the piston and cylender head to stop the engine from rotating as you torque the nut
