Head still leaking

I have put a new head and gasket on my kart. Tightened the stud nuts down to 16 ft lbs in a criss cross pattern. Then to 25 ft lbs the same way and the head gasket is still leaking. I don't know what else to do. is there some other sealer i should try? thanks for any help.

Were the gasket surfaces clean and unpitted?

it looked okay, but i havent done much motor work so i probably wouldnt know what is bad or good.

How exactly do you know it's leaking?

because of the oil coming out of it. lol

obvious answer is obvious.

Is it leaking from the head-gasket or from another spot (valve cover or something)
If so replace the gasket in question and try again -aka report back.

The gasket is new.

If head is off engine, or if you remove it again, post some good clear high resolution pics of both surfaces...meaning head surface and block surface.
This may tell us something.
Keep in mind that sometimes gaskets will normally 'weep' some oil.
