Hi im new to the forum i just wanted to know if anyone has done anything like this before? ...I just started the project about 4 day's ago
i started with the frame of a Hawg-Ty and a 10 hp Yanmar Diesel knock off ...i had to cut the back bone out of the frame in order to make the engine fit .. im not going all out on this one ... I just want to see what i can do to it just for fun this time
ill keep posting my progress as i complete each task

Any kind of tips and info would be great

You should do a perimeter frame like the newer mx bikes they have two backbones that run from where the normal one starts around the gastank(engine in your case) and up to the steerer tube...this is a yzfR1 frame(superbike)

thanx for the reply's "landuse" It looks like im going to have to mount the seat over the rear tire with leaf springs ....for the seat im going to be using either a seat from a Harley or an old steel tractor seat ...

"brandongeiger2" I love the idea ...but ... I don't know if i really should put that much work into a bike that's most likely going to be crashed 1/2 a dozen times or more

Looks good so far.

Is it just me or does the chain look kinda loose? are you going to be fixing that? (maybe it was just for the mockup and I am over reacting)

That looks cool. I reckon this will be loud.
It does look like the frame will need some gussets on the back bone. I assume the motor has some torque to it. I wouldnt want to see you giver on the gas and the whole thing squishes in the middle. Keep building.

Make a sissy bar style seat. Or long seat with bars going down to the frame to hold the rear weight. Perhaps some shocks on the seat as well.

I think it will wheelie very easy.

Take some bar or pipe weld or connect to the rear end loop. Extend that till that is a ways up past the seat. put a cross bar and attach to the seat.

Well the mini bike is done ...and i took it out for the first full throttle ride ...i live on a road where the speed limit is 40mph and i was passing cars ..so my guess is that i was going somewhere around 55mph and it still wanted to go faster ...the only problem is it doesn't take off fast at all in fact i almost have to give it a little push to get it going

once my friend comes over with her camera ill take a bunch of pics and ill try to take a video
