My kids pulled the top off of the air filter box and the kart sat out in a rain shower. Before I tried to crank it up I pulled the carb and gave it a good cleaning. Went to crank it up yesterday and nothing. I pulled for a good 5 min before I told the kids no riding for the day. Today I pulled the plug and saw there was no spark. I decided to just pull the motor and take it to my shop and dig into it. As soon as I set it on the workbench I saw that I had never turned the kill switch back to on.

Wow. Sorry to hear that. I did the same thing with my riding mower. Wouldn't crank or start, forget which one but I bought a new solenoid for it & it still wouldn't run. Ends up I forgot to lift the blade deck the last time I shut it off and the safety was on.

It gets even better when there is a kill switch on the engine and on the steering wheel. Flip the engine switch on then pull the rope 10 times only to realize the one on the steering wheel is off.

I once spent ten minutes trying to figure out why my minibike wouldn't start, only to then realize that I never put the spark plug boot back on.

And Karttekk:
My gokart did that once. And, being that it was a tecumseh, I thought that the carburetor took a dump again.
