Nickname is Raven. Being on two wheels has been my passion for as long as I can remember. From the moment the training wheels came off, it was BMX, one dirt bike, six street bikes and one cruiser. I still ride BMX to this day to get around the city. I have always been passionate about small simple things. As a kid I remember staring at the ads in the back of my motorcycle magazines, fascinating over the mini bike or mini bike kits you could mail order. It's been something I've always wanted.

Tons of changes have been happening in my life. This week I was led back to those same feelings I had as a kid dreaming about a mini bike. I am moving to some mountain property and am building my own tiny home. I am not going to be able to ride my BMX as transportation like I do here in the city, so I started looking at mini bikes. Saw the Coleman BT200X and knew right away it was what I wanted. It will be personally brought to me next month, along with a new 212 Predator Hemi. I also ordered a torqueconverter, intake and exhaust. Plan is to use the 200X as my trail bike getting up and down the mountain, along with some epic adventuring/exploring. Will get some GoPro footage of the great rides in the area. After I'm all settled in my new place, I will get a frame and do more of a fast street build that I can load in my truck and hopefully take to any mini bike meets in California, or any other state I wander to.

Got good news! Since I had to order my Mini Bike out of State, the person coming to visit and bringing it to me just called and are coming earlier than planned. I'll have the new bike next weekend! Stoked

Thanks guys, appreciate the welcomes! I'll be sure to post pictures when she gets delivered. Since I'm going to recheck every bolt on it and locktite, anti seize, or grease everything anyways, I'm debating just tearing it all the way down and getting everything powder coated. Just to make it feel like my bike. Have a scheme in mind I've been wanting to do for a long time.

For sure, so far I've got some extra parts. But will also do some of the "free" mods. So far got a Predator 212 Hemi, torque converter, intake/air filter, header/exhaust. I'll definitely put the intake and exhaust on the 200X, I'll have to wait to see about jetting at the high elevation. I'll just use the stock clutch for now and if I have issues I'll toss on the torque converter. The new engine is going to be for my fast street build. Also thought more about powder coating, since I don't really "mind" the way the 200X looks I'll probably save the powder coating and customization for the fast street build once I'm settled.

Nice. If you feel confident, try porting and polishing too. See if you can index the spark plug.

A tip on porting and polishing:
TAKE YOUR TIME!
If you screw up, you may ruin your cylinder head/block.
If you feel like you're doing something wrong, STOP!
That applies to almost everything.

Sorry I've been ghost for a minute. I have been very busy with my Land. I got the Mini Bike but it is still in the box until I hear back from Coleman. Shipping box was in good condition, but the front wheel was not properly secured inside the box from the factory. It caused some frame damage. There is also rust on this brand new frame. Waiting to see how Coleman handles this.

Wanted to update what's going on with Coleman. After tons of emails and speaking with them on the phone, they are taking the minibike back and giving me a full refund. I just got off the phone with another company who I will be purchasing a rolling chassis from and will put my Predator 212 and torque converter in. Just debating on 6" or 8" wheels.

Well, it depends on your use and preference.
Off-roading, bigger tires are better, and they'll give better top speed.
Smaller tires mean better acceleration, but it'll be more of a street minibike.
What other company? Any advertising pics of the frame you are buying?

Well, dadgum. That was a quick and over-with ordeal.
I was hoping for an un-boxing and review.

I would've kept it and hammered them for a hefty discount if anything. You'd be surprised what you can get if you're a squeaky wheel. I feel bad for your friend too, who took all that trouble to get it to you.
As for the damage, it just looks cosmetic and I'd bet two thirds of them have shipping blemishes of some kind.
