I never would have guessed that Acca Dacca was AC/DC. Are they still big in Australia? I know that is where they originated.

The band originated here but, the only member that is Australian is the drummer, Phil Rudd

yes it is
bloody auto correct

Australia Day will mean a lot more to me in the future than it did yesterday; I became a grandad!

Congrats Fabroman! Time to get out into the shed, to start working on the new go kart?!

Does Australia day fall on the same day each year? Or is it just a certain weekend? Will your Granddaughters birthday be on Australia day next year? If so, what a day to be born.

Yup! The rest of 'em emigrated to Australia from Scotland!

Does Australia day fall on the same day each year?
Naw, they just pick one at random. Sometimes 2-3 times per year depending on Foster's quarterly profit figures! :roflol:

Sorry...:cheers2: <---The appropriate emoticon, no? :D

EDIT- (Added image) Ronald "Bon" Scott, the original* lead singer of AC/DC, seen as a young 'un wearing the traditional Scottish garb. Wanna hear something cool? He played the bagpipes in, "It's A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock 'N' Roll)"- not too dang often you heard bagpipes in a Rock song!)

*Actually, David Evans was the first singer, but got the boot for being too fruity. Good thing, too! RIP Bon Scott 9 July 1946 – 19 February 1980

Thanks Rusty. I'm already working on two now but, I think I have a few years before I have to worry about that.

By the time she's old enough, my daughter will have outgrown the AMC kart so we'll just pass that on for her & her cousin who will be along in a few months  :worried2:

You don't get more Aussie than that :lolgoku:

Umm, no, not quite :toetap05: Australia Day is celebrated on January 26th every year (like American Independence Day on July 4th) so, yes, her birthday is on Australia Day

What's with Australians and drinking fosters
Everyone hates it
That's why it's a big export
No bastard here what's to drink it so they have to ship it all away

Unfortunately Aussie day may not stay on the 26th
As fabro man said the day represents the day the first white settlers landed in aus

But because of course the aboriginals don't really celebrate the day and they refer to it as invasion day. Even though though out the whole Aussie history they have never made a significant stand

So to keep them happy they are campaigning to change the date

TBH, I haven't seen fosters for years...

The funny thing is, ATM, they get a whole week of recognition

Congratulations!!!

What, to the indigenous Australians for finally standing up for something?
