GX200 on a kart dies out in bumpy yard, it runs out of fuel with full tank. With choke it will restart and run again. On smooth ground its fine.

Ideas??

Has the engine sat for a while?
Make sure the gas tank vent is clear, and that the fuel line is not obstructed.
You might want to clean the carburetor.

thanks for the replies, they made me re-think dirt in the carb. Sure enough there was a little sediment in the bowl. Cleaned it out, adjusted the carb and it runs much better now.

What is the small metal box with two wires coming out of it, attached by a single M6 screw, just above the low-oil sensor?

I believe that would be the low oil sensor.
Don't quote me on that, though.
There are videos out there showing how to remove the low oil sensor. But if you just want a quick an' dirty solution, you can simply unplug or cut the wires coming from the low oil sensor.

The gold box is the relay...
Sensor is inside the block..

No need to cut.. Easy enough to unplug.. Also can use the low oil relay for the kill switch hookup..
Wire inline to ground a momentary pushbutton switch from the wire you unplugged..
Easiest kill there is with these motors.. No studder just engine off..

Is it a relay or some kind of switching diode? I have one I think I will cut open tomorrow sometime what do you guys think about that?

The low oil sensor is inside the crankcase and looks like a float type device. I'll look that over too, maybe take some pics of all of it.

if you guys would like me to do so.

It would be interesting to see what the oil sensor looks like, so if you get a chance...then yup, I would be interested to see
