Grommet for pull start

Has anyone ever broken the plastic grommet that the cord goes through? I have on mine and I could not find a replacement. I have tried several places, and I finally used a PCV grommet made by Motormite part number 42330. It fits snug in the hole and it was fairly cheap. I would still like to find the actual piece that is supposed to be in there, but for now it will do.

Most engines I've seen theres nothing there but smooth steel.

Tyler, you never have? almost every newer engine i've seen has had one. Pitboss have you tried contacting the company that makes the engine?

No, I wanted to try to sorce incase it broke again so I could get it quick if needed.

why not just use another ordinary pcv grommet if it brakes again?

Because after about twenty pulls it starts wearing down the grommet
