Greyhound 6.5 HP Governor

I have some questions:
Why take the governer off?
does anyone know of an electric start kit for this motor?
(greyhound 6.5 hp from harbor freight)

no e-start kit, you can make a red-neck e start though. removing gov allows for more rpms, which can make you go faster.

affordablegokarts.com and ebay have electric starter kits for these engines. A governor would be removed in order to gain more RPM. If you remove the governor, a new set of 18lb. valve springs and an arc billet connecting rod are highly suggested. Please read up on 4-stroke engine therory and engine basics before atempting to do any work like this.

Thanks, do you think there is more cheaper ones? Can this be made out of individual parts?
