Hey!! I am hoping this site will be a life saver for me. I recently bought an old go kart frame for my son’s bday. The plan is to build it with him so he can learn about this type of stuff. Problem is... I have NO idea what I am doing 😂😂😂 I will need ALL the help I can get. I am intimidated with the brake system, engine stuff, clutch stuff, etc. basically the whole thing 😂 We put on the steering wheel and tires 👍😂

Anyway, get ready to hear from me quite a bit!! Feel free to be my virtual super heroes!

Looking forward to getting to know everyone thru this journey!

In case anyone is wondering, I have an old Manco Dingo frame... took me a bit to figure that out! 😂

Well, helping new people is our specialty!
:welcome2:
Once you get to know how the systems work, they are actually incredibly simple!
Good luck!

Thank you for the encouragement and kind welcome! I can only hope that as I learn the systems I will feel that they are simple 😂

Welcome to the forum. We can help you through all the hard bits and give you the advice you need.

When you start the build, start a new thread in the project log section of the forum and post lots of pics. Pictures speak a 1000 words and really helps us to help you.

I wish you all the best

talking of "Pictures speak a thousand words"

Only few computers have emoji fonts pre installed..
And since I see you are very fond of using them to emphasize your post.

I would like to ask to either stick with old school smileys instead,
or just leave them out (especially in thread topics!)

It's really annoying to need to crack out the phone to read a post
because it is terribly mangled by random utf8 characters on a desktop computer.

thank you

Welcome to the forum! Also join your local Facebook gokart page and you might find someone with the same kart that you can look at for comparisons etc.
