Wow, things are a lot different from over there from here in the US! We have supermarkets and things, It would be cool to have markets like that, There are flea markets similar to what you described.
Here a pic of one down the road from where I live. But not completely open aired

Yeah. That one looks nice and clean, with a nice cement floor. I wish we had markets like those in your pic. Nice and hygienic. I hear that in the US you don't really have the same problems as we do with animals like lions, elephants, etc walking around your neighborhood. Last week I had a lion just lying outside my hut that wouldn't leave. I was stuck inside for most of the morning and couldn't go to work

You guys have it easy...

I'm 14 too!!
Impossible to get a job under 16 here. Plan is to flip things next summer. Go karts, maybe mini bikes, etc etc. I made $260 this year without even trying.

Seperate topic: I also bought a small inflatable dinghy with a 9.9hp motor for the summer which was fun. If i sold it i could have made $750-$1000, but i literally spent 2-4 hours a day for 3-5 weeks looking on craigslist EVERY SINGLE DAY. I also go my dad to drive an hour and 20 min for the dinghy and an hour and 40 min for the motor with me. So yeah...
Way to stressfull to do again next year, plus i totally stole this dinghy, it's way to nice for me. I probably won't get one as nice again if i tried this next summer. So yeah, plan is to flip things next summer and try and make some money.
I've been letting a neighbors dog out for going on 5 years now, so that was enough to pay for my boat entirely, plus i still have some extra:stir:. Yes, i take very much pride in having a boat titled registered and bought by me in my name (I'm the only one in my family with a marine license- i learned everything i know on my uncles sailboat before i even had a license... I could pull in a 22' sailboat without a license-illegal). The scary thing about boating is that at 14 I could get a license and go out on a 30+foot boat with no experience and noone with me LEGALLY.:surrender:
So, not trying to brag about my dinghy at all- it's not much of anything, I'm just proud of it since i paid for it with my own money that I worked for, and it's not mommy and daddys.

Hightechredneck: you'll get exactly what I'm saying when you fork over your own hard earned cash for a go kart, even if it only is $75.

Your uncle doesn't sound like the most generous guy if he "threw in" 50c. LOL

The double post was fine. Don't sweat it

Oh, He says I still owe him that 50c though:lolgoku:

My uncle is great He probably would pay more but he has the family discount... He is very generous and gives me gifts when I come over to work... He game me a beautiful burl box, I will have to post a picture!

Hold on - Young HTR is working for his money. He's learning a variety of skills. Perhaps more importantly, he is building an excellent work ethic, something far too uncommon these days. And he will know how to actually MAKE something - and this is a thing fewer and fewer people can do. With these tools, he will one day be prosperous and self supporting.

My hat's off to you, young man.

Sorry for bumping such an old thread...I haven't been on here in a while so I am going to finish this thread. I finally purchased the Kart, It cost me 75$. I replaced the old engine with a Predator 212cc. In the process of pumping the tires up I heard the front one leaking, As I go to listen it explodes in my face with rubber shrapnel sticking into my face! Ouch. I replaced the tire and stuck it into the back of the truck. I have been enjoying my New kart. It is a Murray Outrage and pics will come soon!
