also got some SPRINGS put on

You can install these with your fingers..


stock ones.. orange paint on them



so I cut .050" off the head.. should have 10.3:1 compression now

need to get a cam now...

naw its got a good finish on it, besides the finish thats on there will help with head gasket seat..



dont worry it will still outrun yours

BUY SOME BETTER GEARS!! LOL

and a new carb and a better piston
and a better clutch and oh hell bro just give me the head, you dont want to spend that much on a 100 motor do ya?

u know that it aint gona bump compression up alot and if i were you i would port it up good.

I am not going to port it.. I am building aTQ motor not a High Powered 8000 rpm screamer.

ports are pretty straight shot.. all I would do is unshroud the valve.

Flow is more useful in upper rpm ranges than it is in lower. Matter of fact. In lower rpm ranges too much flow can damage velocity. It will give less power to lower end.

Porting can mean many things. If you just go in and clean up any casting flash, streamline the guide area, polish the exhaust port without moving a lot of material, it will help with overall flow without hurting, or even helping velocity. Same with the intake, only you want a rougher port finish (about 80 grit) to help promote turbulence on the port walls, which helps keep fuel in suspension. :cool:
