Do you think you blew the engine? I hope not. The water pump is an evil little gremlin. It just shuts down with out notice.......
Once it's up and running again, why not incorporate a temp controlled ignition kill? Like with the car radiator fans, except it shuts down the ignition so the engine don't get to the point it blows/seizes........ :thumbsup: idk

Do not know yet, have no time to open it...

But water is in cylnder...

Leaking around spark plug, around head and underneth pulley...
There is water pump...
New pump is 20$, gasket set 20$...
New clynder and piston 400$...

Next week will know real damage...

This engine once had all sensors and stuff but previos owner striped all down...

so, engine is in the parts now:

head cover started to melted down :

pump, mean motherf****r ...

also find out that tooths on crankshaft and vario are damaged:

so total damage:

vario, crankshaft, piston, cylinder, gaskets and pump.

all parts would cost over 600$ ...

so I order only gaskets set, new pump with bearings and piston rings.

that cost me 100$ and luckly engine would run , not fast as use to ..

and, I going to find new engine for some change , if it's possible .. :S

try to find oversized piston rings and give the cylinder a light hone to fit them in...
other than that, the only thing that's looking really bad is the cracked case...
That's the flywheel/ignition side right?..
I think you should at least check it's still straight and sealing up properly;
you should replace it if you can.

the rest doesn't look too bad IYAM; just 'used' a good clean, some fresh gaskets and maybe one or two bearings later it'll run great ;)

Hone it lightly and use "file fit" rings, if you can get them. They are just a hair longer than standard size. That allows you to do a light hone/clean up, but not boring close to next piston size,and fit a new set of rings..... I'm talking like taking out maybe .003-004"...... Just enough for a clean smooth bore.
Look and see if Wiseco makes them for your engine....

I checked at service, it is not possible to bore cylinder, you have to buy new one...

There is lots of small cracks but I ignore them.. :p
not bore.. hone ;)

exactly,just restore the crosshatch as good as possible, without stepping up to an oversized piston;
then oversized piston rings will complete the job..

Since they're available for all piaggio engines, I don't see why there shouldn't be some for your gilera runner...

quick check later:

(up to four oversizes available)
