I got new tyres and rims from UK, bit wider (210 mm instead 180 for rear ) and TC is not good for drifting.

but, I manage to broke pulley on variator, nuts are gone so ordered new one from ebay.

it's raining every day so didnt try speed limit...

Yep, I do believe it's ready for the "finished projects" thread. Good job! It sure looks like a lot of fun.....

Yes, especially when bottoming over bumps and rear end step out ..

Still didn't try full throttle on flat , only uphill ..

As you can see from graph, downhill is always around 30 km/h...

There is still part of road which is closed and new tarmac should be laid .

When it would be finished, then I could go to much wider road (7 m) and can use full throttle without worrying to be overrun by truck :p

What are you looking down at all the time? that's really annoying to watch :(
I like the idea.. and your track seems to be nice;
but I'd love to see a run with the cam fixed to the frame rather than your helmet ;)

I couldn't stand the camera movement for more than 2 mins I'm afraid..

Also what's that clinging noise?
sounds like your chain is hitting against the frame or something.
take care that it's nothing important; you don't want anything to break @60km/h

Noise is from loosen plate under floor...
Is maded of two pices and they overlaying about 2 cm...

I tryed to fix camera on frame, but pick up too much vibrations...

Will try with some rubber spacer...

Edit: my phone is on steering wheel and keep faling off, so that is why head is going up and down...

ah just the plate.. good.. just wanted to make sure it's nothing that could fail on you at speed.

Yes the vibration thing, I thought something like this was the reason...
IIRC there are extra bicycle mounts for cameras that dampen vibrations.. silicon gel or something... I don't know.

helmet mounts are always shi77y (well I haven't seen a video yet that was a 'viewing pleasure') most are pointed either too high and you do not see any road or too low and you see nothing but road...
maybe those action cams that are mounted on the side of a helmet (rather than on TOP of the helmet) work better.. IDK;
but it's hard to get it right to say the least; a fixed cam can be setup more easily.

About that, filming legs or sky, I have 20 those videos...
It so frustrating...
I put my camcoder ( it got some shaking reduction) instead this cheap camera on frame, ahead of radiator, but when I fire up kart, just show error: hdd error :p

How about, if I fix camera on baloon?

edit:

new one, camera on the road..

speed is 50 km/h uphill ...

Nice work on the kart. Glad it worked out so well. You've got some pretty country to ride through.

thanks guys... but fun is over ..

half hour ago I was cocky and while making U turn, instead driving 15 km/h , I try 30 and I hit the rock near the road and bent kart badly ...

rear right fell of rim, main frame is bent about 6-7 cm ...

I manage to get home slowly, use big hammer and bent it back in place...

test run show constant pulling to the left, front tyres do not have same thred any more and vibrations are terrible ...

Will try to weld L shaped profile to make it stronger...

Or, as its 3/4 pipe/ tube ( still mixing those two) try to put 1/2 pipe inside this one...
