Go-Kart won't crank without pressing the throttle...

Hi guys,

I have a Streaker go kart and you can't crank it without pressing the throttle, and to make it idle, i have it low as i can to keep it going, but it tries to take off.

Someone wants to buy this today, so i need advice on how to fix this!!!

What's the motor, could also adjust the idle screw?

It's a tecumseh 6.0 HP motor and i've tried the idle screw so many times. It should still crank without pressing throttle. It's never done this before.

I had actually cleaned it like 2 hours after i noticed it wouldn't crank.

A little more info is required. How long ago was it last run? Was everything "perfect" last time? What happened after that? Is the governor intact?

Sounds like the carb may still need some de-gunking.

It ran fine till about 3 weeks ago. I will clean the carb again.

It was perfect, it crank right, it went fast, it was just perfect.

i know this is a little late but try cleaning out the bolt that holds the bowl on and make sure where the needle goes that its not blocked and losing gas flow
