Hi,
I am building a go kart out of an olg golf-cart frame. Here are my ideas, does everything sound like it will work for the speed of 30-50mph?

The view from the frontwards above view is on the left.

The view from the left where i will be putting my egnine is in the middle.

The right picture is from the back with about where the axel will be placed, accept its on the ground right now.

This is my set up, a bit small, but it can work (100-200lb frame). I want to put my engine on the top half (would like to get a briggs 8hp) of the two haves (left side) in the second picture, with a panel of alluminum lay accroess the open parts of course. Then i would like to get a comet converter
[looking something like this http://www.amazon.com/Series-Magnum-Tor ... 198&sr=8-2]
and hook it up to a jackshaft in the lower space or in-between. That jackshaft will have a small sprocket on it (18-22teeth) and then a bigger one (24-28teeth )attached to the shaft on the axel.

Do you think this will work for how fast i would like to go?

its pull start and i have the parts manual and it is capable of installing electric start. It is older i think late 70 to mid 80s. It is not running yet like i said it needs some carb parts and gaskets. they were shpped a few days ago so they should be here pretty quick. It is not very pretty now beccause its 30 year old paint lol. I can post pics around 3 or 4 today. Im going to paint it so its not much of an issue. If we do work somthing out and your forsure you want to buy it i can paint it a color of your choice.
