Hey everyone i was hoping to get some information on parts for a go kart i have. I'm not looking to do anything crazy right now just get it up and running. So if i could get a list of stock parts with correct specs for a Murray Nitrox that would be very helpful and if you can please provide a link. I also have a predator 212cc ohv if that changes anything that needs to be put on and Thank You in advance.
  • Chain
  • Clutch
  • Front & Rear wheel&Tire
  • Axle
  • Seat
  • Seat belt
And feel free to add anything if you think I'm missing something from my list.

i suggest for a clutch a 3/4 in bore 10 tooth and 420 chain. most likely the axel is a 1 inch so most of these a local go kart shop will have so,go to google and search gokart shops near me. seat belt junk yard or online. seat online or gokart shop. tractor supply will have chain and tires .any hardware store will have the bolts you need.
i can tell you engine bolts for the predator if you dont have any yet
bolts: 5/16 - 18 x 1 1/2
and nylon nuts 5/16 - 18 and 5/16-18 washers (i suggest 8 washers)

Harbor Freight has motors but no other go kart parts. They don’t make Murray’s anymore so you should go with aftermarket parts. You may run into issues mounting a Predator to it, especially if you decide on a torque converter.

Try searching for a parts break down for your kart (Murray Nitrox parts breakdown or Murray Nitrox owners manual). After that, finding parts is relatively easy. There’s a sticky thread that has a good list of online part distributors.

if you happen to know the modelnumber of the kart you can easily find the parts breakdown

model names are pointless I'm afraid, iterations keeping the model name and different karts sharing the same name in some occasions makes it difficult...
think trying to find the correct carb with nothing but "Ford Mustang"
(w/o model year and engine specs)

check bmikarts.com or gopowersports.com. Both have good quality stuff, but bmikarts.com is cheaper and I think some of that stuff (chain/seat belts) are dirt cheap in the clearance section. Although, a clutch, chain and master links are cheaper on amazon or ebay, because they do free shipping.

....and if his rear sprocket is a #35? You should spend a little more time learning before advising. The OP asked for parts that FIT his kart. Also, how can you recommend a clutch tooth count without a rear sprocket tooth count, tire size, exc....?

If you could provide a picture of said kart, that would be extremely helpful. Many members here could probably recognize more from that than the limited information you provided.

Many questions arise, ( at least in my mind), in what and why you need what you want. There is no such thing as TMI when it comes to asking questions. We can answer them all, but a little more detail will definitely help the quality of responses you receive.

Gokart parts, ( especially yard kart parts), are for the most part pretty generic, but $ and time can be wasted getting the wrong ones from the wrong places.

Here are some pictures sorry they aren't the best. Hopefully I can get some better pictures after moving it from my grandparents house.

Well, thanks to the pictures, even I can help you a little:

You have a centrifugal clutch on already, so the Pred will be a direct swap. The main thing is to measure the distance pin center to pin center on the chain links. 3/8" is #35, 1/2" is 40/41. You could just count the teeth on the old clutch and replace it with the same tooth count, but to be sure, provide us with the rear wheel height and rear sprocket tooth count .

I'm not even sure you have an axle. Raise the kart and spin the drive wheel and see if both tires spin. Or raise just the non- drive side and see if it spins freely. Why do you want an axle?

I would take a good look at the band brake while I was at it, it may be fine, but it could be shot.

I just found some documents about repairing the go kart but it doesn't have info like how many teeth and things like that but it does give part numbers so I will try looking into the part numbers and see what i can get.

Looks as though you may have some welding in your future with that gusset that is rotted out. But over all it looks like a good project for a first timer and it is not all beat to death, just weathered. Good luck!

To find the number of teeth on the clutch and sprocket is really very simple.
I did it without even removing the chain(you may want to, I'm just saying how I did it).
All I did was basically take a screwdriver, scratch a little mark on the clutch drum directly above one of the teeth, then counted until I got to the mark.
same thing for the sprocket, just scratch the mark below one of the teeth.
