Go kart not accelerating

Hello, I bought a nun running go cart it has a gy6 carb and 150cc motor. I replaced the carburetor and it turns on now but whenever I give it gas it does not accelerate or move on reverse or forward. What could I do to fix it?

How do the clutches and belt look? Does it go into gear? Does the engine rev up?

Do you let it warm up? I have a 2018 150xrx. Sometimes it does that unless I let it warm up.

Are you able to rev up the engine at the carb instead of using the gas pedal? You might not have the accelerator cable tight enough or installed properly. Jack up the rear of the kart and put stands under it so the wheels are off the ground and see if it will rev up. Could have a stuck brake caliper or like Denny said, something in the drivetrain isn't right. The fuel is pulled into the carb with vacuum. Check if the vacuum hoses are installed correctly or not cracked going to the fuel valve under the tank.

Everyone throws a new carburetor at it because they're so cheap, but they're easy to clean or repair from bad gas in them (up to a point that is). Take the old one and clean it up and you'll have a spare and learn carburetors.

When I rev it I use the car and the gas pedal both don’t work. And if I’m completely honest I’m not sure witch one is the vacuum line

I cleaned the old one really good but it didn’t work. With the new one it worked

Watch this video, I'm thinking your vacuum hoses aren't right.

The vacuum hose from the intake manifold goes to a Y or T fitting. One hose on the Y goes to the fuel valve and the other goes to the carb. If it's a T, a hose goes from it to the carb. Been a while but I think this is how they go.
