:idea2: well thought it be great to have my sons birthday at kart country.i mean you got games, food, putt putt and the largest go kart track there is 1 1/2 mile long sounds great right.:wai:

:censored: not................. you would think with 9 h.p. honda motors these things would fly. :furious2: we must have been doing like a max of 25 mph.i mean my slowest kart at home goes faster than these.my son was like dang dad these are slow lets get our karts and bring them up here and have some real fun. a course they said no. 5.00 a ride isnt cheap .

but at least you could drift with them.:auto: that is if you could see from all the rubber coming off the tires. would be fun for people who have never rode a kart but for my peeps and family we give it a big thumbs down!!!!!:ack2:
have any one else been to a local track and felt this way too.:worried2:

Yeah, they always put some kind of electronic governor on concession karts. You can always see the employees switch 'em off when they move the karts. Sometimes you can get lucky and find a kart that is governed higher, that's what happened the last time I rode one, smoked everyone.

Yeah, we have a place in town called "Golf 'n Stuff" where they have karts. That was the very first place where I got to ride a kart and I wanted one after that! Going back now, they seem like trying to coast uphill on a molasses covered wagon without wheels. I had never ridden anything faster than that, so when I got mine done I was tripping out at the speed!

Hey, I was wondering about that. I remember seeing a track somewhere and I am familiar with that name. I'm gonna have to look into that! :thumbsup:

@redcali,

where I'm at, you buy a ticket for like $5 and then you go on it and they let you ride for a certain amount of time and then they divert you to go back to the starting point.

around my place we have Gator Golf. which everyone around considers fun because of the gokart track. Not many people in my area are big into karting, a couple of my buds have karts the run 5hp and 6.5 motors but the gokarts at gator golf look identical to pro shifter karts and look really fast. they run engines that look to be somewhere in the range of 100 to 150cc but top out around 15 or 20 mph! ridiculous. you ride for 5 minutes and pay like 6 to 7 bux. ill stick with my trails!

...too bad there isn't a road course where you can "Run What You Brung" around it. The closest we came was a Golf Course at Johnson Ranch, behind our house. It was a twisting cement cart path about 8' wide that went through the hills, etc for a total length of about 3 miles. My son and I used to buzz around this at night (after closing) on the LowRider and the Blue Stand-Up trike. Then they posted security people, but we could easily outrun them (they were chasing us in golf carts). Pretty soon, through the process of elimination, they figured out where we lived. Ooops.
Then we did laps around Anthony's school! Lots of fun.
