My go kart:

I just purchased these rims and wheels (13 x 5.00 x 6) for my go kart: http://www.princessauto.com/en/detail/13-x-5-00-6-turf-tire-assembly/A-p8442493e. I believe the bearing in the wheels are flange bearings (5/8" bore, 1-3/8" O.D.)... this is what they look like:

How do I convert the two rear rims for a 1" keyed live axle?

I want to convert this hub (with flange bearing removed):

to this:

Any ideas on how/if I can do the conversion?

MFG sells a rim very similar to what I bought at Princess Auto: http://www.mfgsupply.com/gomini/gominiwheels/gominiwheels6/8-8379.html

I don't think those rims will work with a live axle setup..

you'll need a keyed axle and hub/rim assembly meant for a live setup.

Ok, thanks for letting me know that the photos are not visible. I have a "OneDrive" account I have been using photos from (I've used my OneDrive account pics before for other forum posts). What is the best way to post pics?

I uploaded the pics as attachments and then inserted them into my post... can you see them now?

Yes you could get something machined and welded to your spindle wheels. But why. You would have to pay for machining and welding. It would really need to be professionally done to ensure the hub is centered and balanced and true and plumb and level and square. Your best bet is to just buy the right wheel. They are like 16 bucks. I am cheap so I understand you already bought 4 spindle wheels. So look at it this way you got the tires and now you have 2 spare front wheels, with spare bearings.

Great advice, I was starting to think the same thing. Maybe I can find these rims locally.

I've been waiting for someone in the same Country to respond...(or even from another one...)....

But Princess Auto is pretty much a HF equivalent if I understand.....Is it just me....or do those look like HF wheels? ??? Are they any better??? Those don't look like high speed bearings to me.....

EDIT: I realize those are one piece wheels....but those bearings make me question the suitability of those rims and tires for high speed use...

Double edit: My bad...I just clicked the link to PA....sounds like they are ok....I guess those may be HS bearings after all....but they don't look like they are....(at least sealed) ....let us know ....

Just buy 2 of these and swap the tires to them. Slide on axle and use a spacer behind them then put bolt back on.
Simple solution.

I wonder if they are high speed bearings and tires... does the Princess Auto link say they are?

No....but the tires are 4ply...and they're under the trailer/ off road category....IDK....and the nearest PA to me is a lil bit of a drive.....

EDIT: Went back and looked again....and found some red flags.....a smaller tire without rim that cost more.....a blow-up of the picture shows the flange is. non-concentric....(my opinion being that they are a glorified two piece bushing and not high speed) ....a review saying "these work decent for a gokart but the tread wears out pretty quickly".....
