I just got the clutch put back together today and installed and just by looking at it there is more space for the belt. Still having problems though. With the kart up on stander and the clutch/driver guard off I can watch what they are doing. It looks like the driver is engaging but maybe there is too much room for the belt now. The other part (the pulley attached to the jackshaft that goes to the other side of the engine) at idle the belt is right up at the outsides of the pulley. When I accelerate the motor the belt moves to the very inside of that pulley, and the wheels don't want to turn at all. What should I do now?

SO, the TC is working properly
more than enoough room for the belt at idle, moved all the way down on the driven at high rpms.. sounds perfect; video would confirm that, but let's just say it indeed is all good here.

Now, what about the sprocket on the driven? is it turning properly or not?
If it is (what I assume) is the chain moving?
and what about the axle sprocket?
If everything is moving except for the wheels, check that you mounted everything correctly (key stock missing on the sprocket holder or wheel hubs for example)

If the chain isn't moving, check that it sits perfectly on the sprockets;
if the small sprocket on the driven isn't moving, make sure that you installed the driven is mounted correctly to the jackshaft.

PS please, let us see some pictures of the single parts, mounted on the kart, I think that'll help

Well, after a quick check of operation and looking at the jack shaft, I remembered i'm an idiot lol. I overlooked the fact that before I put the clutch driver back on I moved the kart from my garage to my barn and in the process I did indeed loose the shaft key. Went to the hardware store and bought an assortment of them, installed one and it then worked just like it should. I really appreciate all the help of everyone. I now have learned a great amount and can use it the next time something like this comes up or if I get another kart. Thanks again.
