I should probably NOT continue to build a grenade.
What to do. With no gov, I don't feel it is safe without a rod.
With a $60 rod, it still will have a plastic cam.
Stiffer springs will probably screw up the plastic lobes on the cam.
So my only real option, IMO, is to ...
get the $60 Rod,
keep the stock plastic cam,
keep the stock valve springs,
port the intake manifold and head,
Shave the Flywheel key,
Look into this claim that the butterfly only opens 75% and needs to be trimmed?
And call it done.
