:smiley_omg:You're only as old as you feel, right? Funny- My mind feels 20 or so, and after a tough coupla weeks, my body feels about 70. Somewhere in the middle of all that is reality. 40. Crap. "THE BIG 4-0". Jeezus. Where's the time going?

Seems like the older I get, the faster time goes. Get me off this scary-@ss ride! I remember way back when- the thrill of doing things I wasn't legally old enough to do, and the high of not getting caught. I remember becoming old enough to do those things, and the disappointment of losing the "danger element" of it. I remember chanting, "Lordy ,Lordy- Look who's 40!" at my friends mother. Payback sucks!

High School, then College, years in the work force... Women, partying, much less responsibility. Somewhere in all of that, I met my wife. I remember popping the question, getting the desired answer, saying "I do", and hopping on a flight to Puerto Vallarta. I also remember trying to convince my new bride that no, the pilot could not just pull over and let her off. (A flyer, she's not.)

I remember doing the Time Warp with a baby in my arms, and all the little bodily fluids that have ended up on me. I recently remember a not-so-little baby cracking into his engine and pulling out what was left of his governor. That not-so-little baby is 13 next month *shudder*.

Where does the time go? God, please tell me that 40 isn't too old to play with little motorized cars! :surrender:

Wow... Check out this cake that just landed in front of me... LOL. Apparently, my wife snuck onto this very forum and sniped a couple pics of the Weed Warrior for the cake-maker. Dammit, I love that woman!

Dunno how clear it is in the pic, but the tractor is 3D, and stands about 1 1/2" off the surface of the cake. Wild!

The biggest gift (of course- I earn the money) was the one I bought myself. A shiny new Lincoln Power Mig 180 Dual with all the fixin's including a bottle of Ar/C02. Gifts from others will come over the next couple days. My wife hasn't got her full license yet, and was unable to go out this week to get me something as her best friend was unavailable. Here's a stock photo of my new toy-

Very nice! Almost as nice as the cake my parents got me for graduation.

(On the topic of cakes, I made my brother a 1911 cake for his 21st last year)

Hmm, so many things to say...
- Welcome to the naughty forties
- Like ML TOYS, you're a couple of years behind me; if you're too old, we're way too old...
- You have a 13year old child, I have a grandchild
- To be old & wise you first must be young & stupid
- Everyone always says "life begins at 40"

Anyhoo, enjoy the big day, the awesome cake, your new toy &, of course, middle age :lolgoku:

Ohh- Gots me a radar gun! WooHoo- real-time speed measurements!

OFFICER KILLJOY- "Sir, Not only is it against the law to drive this... thing... on public roads, but do you have any idea how fast you were going?"

Toystory- "Why YES, Officer! Just before you hit the cherries, I pointed this here radar gun at a tree and clocked my @ss doing 75 in this here 60 zone!" :D

OFFICER KILLJOY- "Whyn't you go ahead and shut that engine down, and step out of the kart please, sir."

Toystory- ":censored:"
