Hello all-
Am I the oldest kid on the forum at 65?
I have a few bikes ,restored three of them, and still trail/road ride..finishing up the Yerf Dog for my two year old grandson..well sort of.. I've had to completely rebuild the yerf,TC,chain ,sprockets, axle, brakes, bearings,spindles,tierods,tires,etc.. Interesting that karting spans such an age group. Back in the day,we built "karts" using the tail end of a reel type mower..not very fast, but you could mow sitting down. I got my first "store bought" kart when I was 12 after mowing a lot of lawns..,a Murray two seater with a 3 hp Briggs. Drove six miles on the highway to see my grandpa, got stopped by the police, and had to push it home for three miles. caught hell from my father until HE got caught as well..We all put a million miles on it,never had the engine rebuilt.. Traded her towards my first car..54 Chevy Belaire..
Hope to be on the forum when I'm 75!
John
