The plan is after franken buggy is complete, painted and re assembled, to start on V2.0
On that note, l’ve said, in the past, to get friendly with your local metal working shop. Then scrounge their scrap/rem pile. I have established agents at all the locals, and the call me when something good is available.
I got a call from one such agent, who informed they were cleaning up and stuff was going to the recycler. Stuff was going cheap, but act fast.
$100 bought a lot of prime material!

All the weather clowns are in agreement that warm weather is on the way this weekend!
So, franken buggy is hung, cleaned, masked and ready for paint. The plan is epoxy primer followed an hour later by paint.
Buggy one day the trailer the next!

I don’t think I would turn it into a trailer just yet. Who knows the paint may turn out just fine. Paint it first then if it don’t work out turn it into a trailer!

Has anyone used these plugs in threaded hole when painting? They work really well. Made of high temp silicone, intended for powder coat use, so they are good for 600F.
Cheap too! $20 for 250 pieces on ebay.
when yer not painting they can be used for ear plugs. There are several sizes available
No respitator? No problem. Stick a couple of these up yer nose, take a deep breath and spray that paint!

Started the reassembly process. Here's a preview of what it might look like assembled.
I'm ready for the rotten tomatoes, death threats and assorted insults, that might be heading my way....
Love it or hate it, it is the color the grand kids chose, so they are the ones I'm looking to please. I only have one shot at being the cool grandpa.
