anyone heard of a little truck company called INTERNATIONAL?They made just as good trucks as chevy and ford back then.

Yes we know of them, no need to be insulted! :roflol:
My dad had a Scout, nifty lil truck. Still has it (sorta) front end is gone and body is shot... though the engine and tranns is still around.

You will if it's an automatic:bannana:

Not necessarily, you see, that only works if its in drive! :D

Period and coma keys broken on your computer?

Either you were driving down a mountain, or you miscalculated. I just can't see getting 17mpg out of a 5.9. The last time I heard of someone getting that kind of mileage out of an engine that big, the guy found out that someone added gas to the tank between fillups.

A 6 cylinder in a truck will get significantly better mileage than a larger V8. There are plenty of people to attest to that. Modern technology has improved mileage greatly. They've also made the engines smaller.

How did you put "5.9" if your period key is broke? Just wondering.

In my experience, all vehicles break. It's really that simple. I had a 2000 Cherokee I6 "which is supposed to be bulletproof" and that thing overheated no matter what you did. In one year, I replaced the thermostat 4 times. Tried 180's and everything, the thing still ate 3 rads, and 2 heads. It was a shame really, because the rest of the jeep was great. But she had too go.

I had an 85 Ranger with the sad little 2.8 v6 in it. From 0-60, 25 seconds or so :wai:. The motor had 170,000 on it when I bought it. I beat the living piss out of that truck. Used to bounce the front end 4 feet off the ground, nothing happened cept for a popped tire and bent wheels. One time, my buddy put tranny fluid in the gas tank (drunk idiots). I said screw it and ran it through. Nothing! Broke the ring gear, coasting backwards in nuetral and then I would slam it into drive and floor it. Must have done that a 100 times.

Various other vehicles that I've put through hell, some make it some don't. It's just like anything else in life. If your dumb enough to break it, atleast be smart enough to fix it. Your mileage may vary.

this is one of the reasons why i really dont want to enter the auto repair trades. you'll have to take the engine head off in order to change a headlight. even my parents cars ('05, '08), are a ***** to work on most of the time..

i think cars could be made simpler and more fuel efficient. less garbage that is not needed would probably make it more efficient. as far as what they look like. i think they would look like this more or less.

ya. myth busters proved that it would decrease wind resistance or something like that which would increase fuel mileage. plus i would probably make it hard for some body to dent your car or if they did it would not stick out as much. if i had the too

Oh... thats different...

Ill keep my smooth vehicles thanks.
