i'm unsure it would work -- the way that works is that you cut the ignitionso that fuel is still shooting, but no spark, and then a secondary spark plug at the end of the pipe is activated so that it will ignite the unused fuel and shoot flames.

the problem is that once you cut the ignition on a mini, you can't turn it back on without pulling the starter again. Also, when the engine dies, I don't know that enough fuel would enter the exhaust... Any more thoughts?

you know when u start your gas stove, you have that little spark that constantly tics until the gas catches fire? You can buy those at a stove repair shop or any hardware store, it will constanly give a powerfull arc shock like a sparkplug, but it wont use as muhc power, u can also buy a mini generator to power the sparkplug if u choose the sparkplug method

right, of course you need the 2nd plug, (or some source of fire) but how will you get the extra fuel into the pipe?

Ummmm... fuel spurting out uncontrolled probably not a good idea. What about maybe using a fuel injector from a car? I've never played with one, although I have been wanting to. Maybe if you had one mounted spraying the inside of the exhaust pipe right before the opening and then something like the sparkplug to ignite it right after that. I'm not sure how an injector works exactly but if it's as simple as it just needing a pulse of electricity, then maybe you could just use a battery and a switch connected to it. Hmmm I'm tempted to try this now. I'll have to go by the junkyard soon and go harvest some injectors.
