You will have a balance problem with your kart. I would bring the front wheels back at least 12" you want around 70 percent of your weight on the front wheels.

good job so far! i built a similar kart and had many handling problems. everyones suggestions are dead on, they will all help solve the major problems i experienced.

- follow every ones advise on the steering geometry.
- bring front tires back, my front tires had limited traction.
- be prepared to lean to the side! just like t-man i found it wayyy to easy to lift lift up the wheel, the kart actually flipped with the combination of speed, locked tire, and slight steering slop.

just like t-man i'm switching to 4 wheels, in my case i find it easier to make a new frame then fix all the issues i had with the "scorpion go kart" as spidercarts.com called it.

good luck with your kart, hopefully you can get it to work just like you want! what kind of engine are you going to install?

Sorry for late reply, well we have invested much time and money into it, and we dont get readymade parts for it,we have to either make it or modify other parts into what we need which is a real pain.We gonna let it be,and will see what problem we face and the necessary modification needed!

We will be using the engine of this scooter

this has a 5hp motor,4 stroke.

can anyone tell me how to do weight balancing of the engine?
will fit the engine day after tomorrow

Take your time with your design:sifone:. I took sometimes to do mine as well. In my case, it was not hard to complete it although I am considered handicapped in welding. Besides, time contraint can delay the work as we need sometimes to rest after work (after study for your case I guess) and therefore dragging the completion time. In the same time, need to visit hardware and spare part shops to find the compatible parts as well. Later parts were the alignments and inspection of all the parts to ensure they were fitted / connected properly.

Work like this needs lots of patience as well. If not, you can see all kinds of this piece of designs on the road.

Looking forward for the completion of your design:cheers2:.

Compressed gas bottle + falling over = valve breaking = deadly projectile.
Every oxy gas set should be either chained together in a welding cart, or chained stationary to the wall.

Are those oxy/gas bottles just sitting there, not chained to the wall?
:surrender:

Well thats my college workshop, they dont have any gas,I know its dangerous, but I myself cant do anything! :furious2:

why does it matter?

It the valve brakes, that will become a rocket and may kill/injure anyone in its path

Safety Measures

I agree that those oxy tanks / cylinders need to be chained and fenced properly:cheers2::iagree:. Sor safety reasons:thumbsup:.

Your design makes a good progress from time to time :wai: Hope you can share the result after test run to see how good is your design. From this forum, I saw quite a number of odd but unique designs built by DIY people which have colored our discussion:bannana:.
