You have it backwards. Just draw a line from the center of the axle to the spindle and carry the line past. Your steering arms with front steer (which you show) should angle toward the tire not away.

Your right if your arms are on the rear side. But if you're proposing that if they are in front the arm should face the tire -
I disagree. I have never in all the literature on ackerman seen
this proposed, nor have I ever seen it on any production vehicle.
And when you think about it, that wouldn't make sense as the
inside wheel turns a smaller circle than the outside one, therefore must turn sharper

actually you both are correct it all depends on if your pitman arm faces forward or back wards......Trust me i am the one that learned from my own mistake!! :roflol: also sorry guys for not being on here fore a while but my business is thriveing and problably wont have much time untill late fall to give you an update but i have not forgotten about all the help and advice that i have gathered here! :auto:
