Mr.builder99, they're not being nasty or rude, they're being REALISTIC!

I read your intro post & my first thought was "WHAT!?" If you can make this work using your current specs, more power to you but, I don't see it working out too well for you...

Question 1: What are the specs of the power tool you intend to use? As in, wattage, continuous running time...

...& before you ask if I've ever built a kart, my second build won last years build off...

One last thing: You may want to keep your attitude in check or I may have to "wield my power"...

of course, i understand that my plan wasn't the best ( i think i found a scrap place which will give me all the metal i need for 25$:wai:) and I've found a good golf cart motor and some batteries are on their way and I've found a website that should give me all the parts i can't get locally but lets not hijack this thread :backtotopic:

:funnypost:

I agree with Fabroman here as well. I hope you can get the kart running with what you are suggesting, but I also have serious reservations about it working.

Tempers and attitudes are also getting a bit nasty in this thread, and it will be shut down by one of us moderators if we feel that it is getting a bit serious.

Mr Builder, I see you are now wanting to build a electric trimmer powered bicycle. I have done one with a gas trimmer, so that can be done. I am not sure about electric though

I used to have a kart that had a drill motor.
It worked fine. It went 11 mph w/ full battery. I'm only lookin' for somethin to cruise around the neighborhood.

Thanks anyway guys..... I'm sure we'll be friends someday............ maybe....

No problem. ...we even like guys like you here.....there is much more teasing and good natured ribbing going on. .....than anything else. ......

You may feel a bit threatened. ....as it seems like the whole forum is out to get you.....but really. ....it would be a lot easier.to watch you totally f up and laughat.you later. ...if we didn't care....and were mean hearted people. ...

But you have friends here whenever and wherever you need them.....just check the attitude and ask.....
nuff said. ....

Sue it does. I used a 32cc trimmer using a friction drive setup. Some people connect them directly using chain and sprockets. There are loads of google vids you can watch
