I dont remember that they substituted on shipping... but a guy told a story where the empployee would not get the 60363 off the top shelf for him.
Funny guy got mad and left, then ranted here. If I remember he was to mad to go back!

If you buy this set, check the box. They have two 301 piece sets. One made in China, one made in Taiwan. The Chinese set, the ratchets are 43 tooth, with a single 3 tooth pawl. The Taiwan sets are 72 tooth with double 5 tooth pawls. The Taiwan set is made by Apex, who also make gearwrench, crescent and bluepoint (snap-on’s less expensive brand). The Chinese set is made by Danaher, who make most store private brand tools. Both are good but the Taiwan, Apex set is better. The wrenches, screwdrivers and pliers are pretty average but the socket set, what you are really buying anyway, is excellent for the price.

Not sure if you guys have seen that before. I tried to find the model number but had no luck as it's not as obvious as the hemi version of the Predator. So here's mine that said Taiwan. 69312.

Supposedly better flowing head and just a bit above 6.5hp...so nothing huge to write home about. Oh and bragging rights for owning a Hemi.

The research I have seen indicates a 1.52 CFM improvement vs a non-hemi over the duration of intake valve lift. At max lift the flow is roughly 51 CFM. So quantitatively speaking, it is 3% better.

So is is 1.52 really that much of an improvement to worry about? Everyone seems to make it seem like it's a Godsend, but if it's really that small of an improvement, then it doesn't seem like it's worth the hassle to find one.

The standard Predator has a well-established aftermarket (performance) and replacement parts selection. But if both engines are interchangeable except for the cylinder head...

Hemi cylinder heads, get yer cylinder heads here! Minimum order 2, 2 for $70.00.

Retrofit to the standard Predator--instant Hemi. :arf:

You might as well get the Honda GX160 head at that point. They both cost roughly the same, but the 160 bumps up the compression more.

Geez, there's got to be an easier way to prep for paint. All this paint stripper and paint remover pads is taking forever. I even called a sandblasting company but I guess he didn't want the small gokart job. Sigh. Pics and or video coming eventually lol

Hey guys, the side of rims with the air valve should face outside right? Sounds silly to me but the guy had them all facing in

Ususally Yes. but I have seen them mounted on the inside. But only in Racing Cars and off road jeeps and such. Mainly for the purpose of not getting the valve stem cut off, by another racer or on Jeeps bushes and rocks.

Also if the wheels are offset and someone wanted an opposite offset they might put the wheels on backwards. but that would not be correct.

Don't mean to sidetrack the thread, but since it's my own then why not.

What much MPH do you guys think a stock 13HP Predator would have over a stock 6.5HP and an upgraded 6.5HP, if everything else was the same on the kart? I keep seeing upgrade kits for the 6.5, headers, jets, airfilter, etc. but by the time you spend all that, you could have almost gotten a 13HP. Even then, it still won't be anywhere near doubling it's HP right?

Nothing really. The rpm of both is governed to 3600 +/- a couple. The 13hp will get you up to speed faster and keep you there up hills better than the 6.5 will.

How about with both governors removed then? That makes sense though. I was wondering why the 22HP kart from CarsandCameras didn't easily go over 50MPH.
