You're getting a huge pain over minimal gains, says I. :D Like someone said earlier, you'd have to have a dyno to see any real results.

But I'd also suggest if you can stay the heck away from CARB compliant engines if possible. They are a pain to keep running at times.
CARB is just Ca. Air Resource Board. Cali's stupid EPA.
The only difference on the Predator is a breather on the fuel tank and a little thingy on the stock muffler.
There is not a huge Difference.
I am NOT saying I like the CARB cause I dont. It is just Crooked Govt BS to funnel money around.
But I have had one of these engines Bone stock for 18mos.
NEVER had a single issue, starts first pull every time, my 14yr old daughter starts it for herself, It ALWAYS runs. She left it sit outdoors for the last 4 months, It still started right up on old "CARB" gas.

I'm just saying they ARE NOT hard to keep running, and how would a guy in Minnesota know anyway,

I have had issues with 2 stroke chainsaws and weed-whippers that have refused to work properly because they were all CARB compliant engines. I guess a few manufacturers would rather make a single unit that was 50 state compliant, rather than 48 state compliant and make a separate one for Cali. They do something to them, maybe make them run leaner than need be; all in the name so you can sniff the exhaust and not get cancer lol. Mostly with Husqvarna engines and whoever makes weed-whippers for Craftsman...maybe MTD, I have no idea. All I know is, 10 years ago 2 strokers never died as quickly as they do now.

No idea on the brand, I wish I knew. I do think the floorboard may have had a star logo while I was cleaning it.

Well guys, I found another one! $125 this time. Better body condition, worse motor condition. This father-daughter project now has a cart for each!

So who gets what kart now? Awesome finds. Hey Chancer, that's why I like to use Tapatalk when I can. Unless I need to edit something, then I use my computer.

She'll get the original one since the one I picked up today has a bent front bar. Any recommendations to fix? I drove the original one today, so much fun! I'm not sure if she can handle it, even I was a little scared lol. The brakes seemed terrible, you have to fully press pedal and then it takes at least 5 solid seconds to stop. With brake bands you just replace the whole band?

I didn't think you were harassing me lol. I just think you guys must use sucky browsers. I assume you aren't on Chrome. Here's how it looks for me. It just auto adjusts

Actually I can't even show you, because it doesn't support the screenshot file extension. Just click so you won't have to see it the wrong way I guess. picture

Thanks! I was not trying to be an A-hole.
That is cool you found another just like it.
The brake bands are relatively inexpensive.
Just do not get one from Northern Tool. They use Rubber for brake pad material. lasted about an hour! LOL but they gave me my money back. GoPowerSports.com Coupon code DIYGOKARTS

Floor Jack or bottle jack and a 2x4, or 4x4 makes a poor mans frame straigtener.
Put the wood against the tube under the seat and the jack on the bumper and pump.
or something like that. leverage etc.
The drum. If it is all scratched from a bad brake band its bad. If it looks smooth it will be fine.
