Oh yeah I forgot to mention. I think the throttle kit you got is the same one I got. The conduit I think it's called? Anyhow the plastic coating on the cable was too thick for my brass fittings. Not sure how you plan on setting up your throttle just giving you a heads up. I think it may be for like a mini bike or something cause it comes with that twist grip connector thing. I'm sure you can still use it. Just doesn't fit my brass fitting

Im not even anywhere close to messing with the throttle. I only ordered it cuz it was 5 bucks and I knew I'd need it eventually so i went ahead and got it. As for my spindle play issue i went to Lowes to find a fitting to fit inside the kingpin hole but i couldnt find anything close enough that would fit inside it that didnt have a bunch of play. So instead i bout a 3 ft piece of wooden dowel thats just barely bigger than the kingpin hole.Im going to slowly sand it down so it just barely fits with some convincing rubber mallet strikes. Then Im going to use a drill press to drill a 3/8 hole for my kinpin bolt to go through. Also bought a 3/8 drill bit to drill out my frame to fit my new cassette!

Got my rear axle mostly set up. Gotta get some a brake, snap rings and sprocket bolts.Oh..and rear tires.

Ditto lol but just giving you a heads up about fitting it but that's exactly why I got that one. Today I got a new one tho with a ball end because of the throttle block I have to connect to my rod. It didn't have a conduit tho. Just a steel cable so I got some extra plastic brake line to use as a conduit. Still a bit snug for the pressure fitting ferrel I think it's called but I can probably get it on with a bit of dish soap. Picked up my brakes as well. Accidently left my hub bolts tho and my brake rod is a tad too long

Also stumbled across the same hubs on BMI and learned they are cassette bearings and are actually easy to take apart with a simple rotation of the bearing!I'm super excited.Took a little bit of sweat to use a hammer to drive the axle out of the bearing ( I placed a piece of 2x4 at the end so i wasn't actually hitting the axle with the hammer) and the first one came of fairly easy. I am new to building go-karts. I started designing my steering, the chassis and worked out few other parts. However, I am a bit confuses with the wheels. Everywhere I see, the wheels and the tires come separately. Is that the case? Or do we get to buy the whole assembly? Or am I looking at this the wrong way? Please help.

I was getting frustrated not being able to find 11x5.5-5 slicks so i was wondering how well a 6 inch wide tire fits on an 5 inch wide rim?

That's the best I have right now. I forget how much wider but you can go like 2 inches I think easy. Mine don't even bulge

I prefer wider. Will get you some better ones tomorrow. Sorry best I can do right now. Running on no sleep and in a ton of pain
