Yep, very cool! As I'm sure you're aware, I have a real appreciation for successful low-budget/scrap/recycled materials builds. If we weren't 8 million miles apart, our kids could party together on these things. Having scalped a bunch of parts off a lawn tractor for my own kids' kart, I can see the bloodlines... LOL

Gearing is similar, too. I used a 12:1 redux, and after the kids got more used to it, I maxed out the governor, and am now about to increase the speed again through regearing.

As for the red and green pedals, well-

Once again, really nice video. I like how you kept your design simple, yet effective!

I always try to stick to the KISS method; I have a tendency to "over analyse"

But hmm, what's that weird noice?

That's the sheetmetal on the roll bar vibrating; haven't got around to insulating it yet

Seriously, I didn't know you'd done that. My choice was just a logic thing; the little princess got it straight away (which was the plan)

When it's at my house, the kart has a large garage to live in but, when it goes home, it doesn't. Her Mum doesn't have a garage & it won't fit in the shed so, two colourbond fence rails, a sheet of corrugated iron (all free) & an hours work & she now has a kart port

Its nice to see that your still on good terms with your ex, it kills me when a kids parents wont even talk to each other.
