That's a very nice kart! I'm jalous!
I'll definitely "steal" some ideas from you to use on my own kart.

Could you make a video with the engine running? I'd like to see how it goes. :D

Thanks guys. :D

I'll try to do something about a video, but I can tell you it goes pretty good for a kids kart; my 8yo daughter was scared of it.

Nice video, although she goes a little bit too slow for me. :p

I wonder if your neighbours aren't moaning about the noice of the kart? If I go driving around my neighbourhood, I see angry people.

Dude, SHE'S 8! This was pretty much the first time she drove it. Give her a month or two.

1. I made it so it's very quiet, you can hardly hear it.
2. Watch the video again; the neighbours are out watching her

So, after a bit of trial & error, & a minor stack, I've had to make a few "adjustments":

1. In an effort to make the steering as light as possible, I overlooked the fact that, when the steering is turned, the steering knuckles pass directly in front of the pedals, making it impossible to brake while turning left or accelerate while turning right. Lengthen the pitman arm & crisis averted. I also modified the spindles to create full Ackermann steering

2. The little princess has grown, even in the 8 months since we first measured her for the kart so, the steering loop had to be changed. Unfortunately, this meant I had to cut the false floor in half to get it in :(

3. A length of wire, a small momentary switch & an hours work & it now has a kill switch on the steering wheel. The wire is threaded through the new steering loop, under the seat & back to the engine

Once again, really nice video. I like how you kept your design simple, yet effective!
But hmm, what's that weird noice?
