I recently purchased this for my kids and as they were riding it lost power and seemed like the brakes was stuck I tried pushing it backwards and it wouldn't move. I took the clutch cover off and it's smoking badly stoping acceleration idk if the springs to tight or what kart is all factory. Motor is 6hp Mitsubishi. Any help on how to resolve the matter would be great. Thanks in advance for your help.

So your saying it's not even the right clutch? I So what do I need to do or get to fix it? If it is a gy6 clutch than that's gotta be the reason for no torque or pulling power.

It will run for about 30 min than its like the clutch starts smoking like crazy and it don't wanna move and when you even try pushing it it's like the brake is still on

That cvt system is commonly used in a 150cc gy6 set up, but comes stock on he Firefox.
That makes it awesome .....
You can tune that to your needs with roller or slider weights.
You will more than likely need : new clutch and clutch bell, new weights in the variator, and possibly new belt and clutch arm springs and a main torque spring ( they might be weak)

Check this vid out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2Kv17CjXik&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Even though it is for a gy6 your cvt is the same. Parts are cheap and readily available.
I do recommend weighing one of your roller weights and then purchasing slider weights that are 2 grams less. Sliders are more efficient and last longer.
You can do this......

If it deals w/ another post... then it should be on "that" post. Some ppl don't really like to go ouuta the way to help strangers... so it may be an advantage to you, to make things as simple for us as you can.

.. just sayin ...
