I've been on the lookout for a mini bike for some time now. They are not nearly as available as go karts in this area. The ones that are for sale are usually at least $200, even seen some one recently for $700! I wanted more of project, project=cheap.
Last week I got burned by two sellers. The first was a lady selling a Doodlebug with 212 Predator for $180. I saw one of tires was flat, so I offered $140, she accepted and we exchanged phone numbers and location. Just as I'm about to leave to pick it up, she texts me "sold". How can you make an agreement and then sell it out from under a person. It hadn't even been 30 minutes from our initial agreement, what a
Then I find a nice looking project bike, I think it was a Manco Thunderbird. It was partially disassembled with no seat but frame and wheels looked good and it had a old engine still mounted. Guy was asking $100, so I offered the $100. So I get him on the phone, and he tells me he is off from work today and would deliver it, cause he wasn't too far from my job. He asks for the address and said he would load it up and head my way to meet me on my lunch break. Lunch goes by and no word for him, look at his ad and he marked it as sold. Try to call and message him, he just ignores them. Another SOB
Well I guess things worked out for the better. Yesterday I came across an ad for a "mini motorcycle" for $40
It was right before my lunch break so messaged the seller and told him I would be there in 15 minutes. Glad I did, when I picked it up he said the ad was not even up for an hour and a lot of people were messaging him. I guess mini bikes are highly sought after, plus the price was great.
Anyways, this is what I got. I looked it over and didn't find any tags or markings. Anybody know make or model? It is 4' long and about 42" to the top of the handlebars.

Or a few fingers run thru the sprocket.

I'd weld some washer to the spring and bolt that to the forks????? Maybe ..I'd need a good think over those...
