Curious, what's the jb weld going to be used for. It's easy just follow the directions on the box....personally j like to wear gloves...

I will upload a pic. I hope jb weld can fix my issue..

As you can see, a small piece was rotted out, and it got to where the radiator hose goes into(dont know the term.. inlet end?) And im wondering if i can use jb weld as a substitute? Or maybe seal it up when i get my gasket, and put rtv in the crack? Just enouh to last so i can get a newer aluminum case 125 bottom end. But who knows, if the engine runs just fine after i fix it up, ill keep it!

So im here at work thinking about the shift linkage fabrication, i looked at the lever for the hydraulic lift and i notice it has a bolt through the middle of the rod. Pretty sure thats the pivot point. So i came up with a few different ideas. Mind you, theres no seat and the engine isnt even in. Might not even work but heres a rough sketch.

I also thought about the tensioner and how itll affect the shift linkage, so i think each time i adjust, ill have to move the shift lever to compenaate for how forward or backwards the motor will move.

Let me know what you guys think?

I hope you're aware of how fast you're going to go through tires with a shifter. Lol

Haha, thats perfectly fine. As long as everything works. Tires are expendable!

Wow! Those tyres ARE wide!!

Right!?!?? I lovvveeee ittt!

So i got my stuff!!!
gold 1-1/4 hubs!

Shift lever i needed to do custom work on.

Heres the right ign coil i need. Idk what bike the other goes to, but itll probably go in the trash .

Heres my new snap rings and the keyways to hold my fresh hubs on!

Hardware for the hubs. Good deal.

And heres everything in one pic!

Dont mind the mini flood in the background lol!

Heres the shifter lever on the bike. Notice the orientation! Once motor and seat is in, ill know where to cut amd weld a tab for my dowel pin/snap ring combo!

We cant answer your question. You have to measure the width of your 2 frame rails where the engine goes. FYI those measurements are in mm. Also shark shifter is a really good company, I called them and ordered alot of stuff for mine. Their customer service is great and helpful.

Also that 14 tooth sprocket will not be big enough. I had a 19 on mine. Remember the bigger the front sprocket the more mph you have. And with that short of a tire you need the biggest you can get. Cause you can only go so far down on the rear.

I was going to measure, but i never got a chance to measure. Im going to get the swetech mount. I just have to measure the rails and such..how many teeth do i neeed on the sprocket? Im not racing, im just riding around. Im not sure of the sprocket design i need because of it being an older bike! Its not like a regular spline. Idk the name of the design though

Im not worried about top speed vs acceleration. This will be a kart that i hope to take on tracks that i rent for the day, or driving around my neighborhood or city. Or any abandoned warehouses. If im hitting 65-75 mph, im ok with that. And be that theres no suspension to absorb any bump, id be scared going past 40-50 lol!

Don't get too ahead of yourself. When you first drive it you're going to soil yourself. It's just gonna happen. Anyways you've got to be really careful and learn how to go into turns correctly otherwise with all that power and Rpms you're going to just spin out or get really loose into the turns. Don't hop on it and go full throttle. Speed feels double when you're sitting that low to the ground. I hit 85 on mine and I still get an adrenaline rush, everything becomes a blur. Learn the area before going pedal to the medal and ease into it. Not trying to sound harsh just want you to be knowledgable about these karts.

And about your speed 65-75 your kart geared correctly can probably hit 100+.

About suspension. Make sure it's a good surface. No potholes. Hit one of those over 40mph in a race kart and adios amigo. Talk about some damage

Oh its not my first time on a kart. Just not as fast as a shifter lol. Im all about safety. Im going to learn the kart and how it handles before ripping hardcore!
