My girlfriend actually took this one, but it’s of me, so hopefully it counts.
Spinning the tires coming out of turn 4. I’ve upgraded the woopow over the winter, so hopefully I’ll have a lot more good ones over the summer.

This is another one I really like, we were playing one day and the track dried out. I started hanging it way out up at the top, and my girlfriend got this picture. It wasn’t the fastest way around for sure, but it was fun taking the corners with the steering at the opposite lock. I had to steer with the throttle.

Me high fiving the gf’s 13 year old after he completely dominated the Jr2 class.
He beat them so bad that parents were mad at him.

Hehe, ain't that the trick!

When I went RC dirt oval racing, the rental Traxxas Bandit they gave me was limited to half power! I only found that out after a few heats, and I had already done well enough to hold on to 3rd place!
All I did was hold onto a good racing line, and then when one of the way more powerful cars tried to pass me, I would steer STRAIGHT into their path and the shape of my buggy would send them FLYING off the track! No one was openly mad at me, but it was dirty racing of me! :D

Oval racing is much more fun than people think. I just wish there was a track around here!

Im still waiting for the right time to rip the turbo cart, but I have tested it on jackstands and the mismatched clutch system works perfect, topping out at about 1 to 1 ratio nicely, 12psi boost should move well.

Plus repaired/ upgraded the azusa bike. Scary fast.

exaggeration as clickbait.. oh kids these days...

Post your best kart pics! (you took) i got a few i wanted to share because they came out awesome i need to take a few more now!
and you shared the other ones?
Heres some more i got

So you're saying every pic you took is "EPIC" ??
I think I strongly disagree.. the second pic is nice but still far from epic..
all the rest.. boring and dull images
(I'm not judging the karts.. but the photo of them mind you!)

Sorry, that topic promised me epic images..
and the majority is just a kart pic like what we're asking for in almost every thread.
:(

JT at least got some interesting angles and/or lighting.. (I like the last pic)
FHB got some nice action images (I like the second)
and I can't help but I really like Joe's profile pic for some reason

the rest are just any mediocrely taken kart images.

And with that old man's rant complete..
How about you step the game up a noch..
remove cluttered backyard trash-corner and other "the opposite of epic" bits

get to a nice empty parking lot or nice rural street on a sunny day and take pictures that
come close to being artistically made (lit, shot, propped or a combination)

you put the topic on this thread, now reach for it :D

Hmmm, maybe I've always taken my photography for granted. I guess having an avid amateur photographer for a grandpa does that to me. :lolgoku:

The low light shots were tricky, I had to position the spotlight and dim/zoom it just enough to highlight the kart, but not completely illuminate the garage. And of course I had to wait until the sun went down.

Here's some more low light shots! Hmm, can't remember why the first one is slightly tilted, but it turned out well anyway!

And that DIYGK sticker looks awesome!

that left one is MUCH better.. the right one... MUCH worse!
as soon as there are "random" kids hanging around it's just your ordinary snapshot at best,
if they're in their PJs or picking their noses it's making things soooo much worse.

People on 'epic' kart pics are either in the driver seat and in 'action' (driving not just sitting) or cheering bystanders that scream and throw their panties at said driver.
(a single person looking bored in another direction and all epos is lost.)

The left one's seriously an improvement though.
that kart, at that angle a bit dirtier on top of a muddy hill ideally at sunset ...
and we'd get some sort of story going.

Epic comes from Epos.. "A hero's tale"
so there must be a story in said picture,
for a stationary kart it's either the beginning of an heroic story

"The kart emerges from the darkest corner of the shed ...
slowly enters the twilight of the dawn;
stalking adventure as the cougar stalks his prey
"

or the end

"The sun began to set as the kart reached the mountaintop,
exhausted, without fuel and covered in scratches and mud finally,
after what felt like months of adventures there's now time to rest.
"

You get the idea.. if you cannot make up a halfway decent story within seconds,
it cannot be an epic image ;)

OK, heres a couple of stills that I snagged from a video taken on my phone, so I know the story.

First shot is my son tearing up our front yard and learning to lean in to the turn as well....aaah, the neighbors gasp as the young man blasts through the yard on a newly built kart that is screaming through the turn while flinging turf in a two wheel peel.

Second shot is after spinning out - he got some flying dirt in his mouth and after rolling backwards to a stop he spat into the direction of the setting sun, then rapped into the throttle and peeled away.

Since he is more apt to stay inside, I think both of these are epic, but the second one is epic-er.
