Hello everyone!

I am trying to change a torque converter over from a predator 212 engine to a 10 hp Honda engine. However, the crankshaft out of the Honda engine is very larger and the front pulley won’t fit on it. Is this normal? Is there a way to change it to a smaller one? It looks like it may have hex keys in it but I don’t know? Would a larger torque converter be my only option? Any help would be a appreciated.

That's an attachment to drive something like a generator or pressure washer. It can be removed.
It looks like the set screw is already gone, so soak it in PB Blaster and put a 3 jaw puller on it.

Um that’s a 1in shaft while the pred. Is a 3/4 it won’t fit as is, you would have to get it machined down. But that’s pointless as the 30 series is rated only up to 8, yes that’s what comet is rated at. Now idk if you have a genuine or replica tc but you would need a 40 series in which are a one inch shaft.

The backer plate for a 30 series is too small on the gx270 and bigger, I shaved the back of a China plate, as well as shaved the oil cap almost flush and it's still too tight, and that was with the front pulley for a 1" shaft. There isn't a way I'm aware of to mount a 30 series on a Big block honda/clone, I think you have no choice but the 40 series or the 44mag t/c, but a 30 series has power ratings for good reason.

I agree, why invest in a part that is incorrect and end up spending more. Just but the correct one in the first place and save $$
