The engine is a model 25442, Type 0215 01, Code 87012910.
It has a 1" Keyed shaft.

Now, I currently have a 6.5 tec on my kart now. Do you know if this will work without a lot of money to modify it? I know I'm gonna have to get a mounting plate, or drill holes to mount it. I just mean, as far as hooking up my torqaverter and what not. Thanks!

What bore is your torque converter? Other than that should be fine.

Its made in jan 12, 1987.
25CI block
It doesn't have electric start or a charging system
Pressure lube

Thats about anything useful i can tell you about it.

Hey, THANKS! That alone is useful to me. I'm not sure what bore my torqaverter is, but I'll let you know. Have you had any luck finding an engine manual for this? I've tried B&S website and it gives me nothing...

I couldnt find anything on briggs website either, are you sure those are the correct numbers?

Im guessing your tec has a 3/4 shaft, my 5.5 does. so you would have to run a jackshaft to your TC if you wanted to run the one you have, or you can get a new driver unit.

I am not sure if those are the correct numbers, or not...the guy that's selling it posted on craigslist, and I'm in the preliminary stages of buying. I asked him for the info, and that's what he gave me, so I'm not sure. As far as having a jackshaft...I already have one...and I'm guessin' my tech's bore is the same as yours.

Right, so if you have a 3/4 bore TC, and a 1" shaft engine (the briggs), your would have to run the engine to a 3/4 jackshaft for the TC, then another jackshaft from the TC to the axle, or buy a new driver unit with a 1" bore.
