Does the angle of the engine affect the float setting? Mine is slightly higher in the front (carb closer to the ground). My plate is adjustable (welded it up myself). Should engines be installed parallel to the ground? This cart was a shifter cart with a crappy "kinroad" engine on it. I yanked that and went old school with a "tav2" and 6.0 hp Tecumseh.

since i take it that its not a 2 stroke its best to keep it parallel to the ground (standing in its onignal position up straight).

A slight angle should make no difference, but if you hit a bump this might set off the oil low oil sensor (if your engine has one) resulting in your engine cutting out.

Best not to put it in at too much of an angle or it might starve your engine of oil.

Best to keep it as level as you can.

Hope this helps.
