changing the oil every year is bad for your motor deffentily
The he// it is! Sorry- if you NEED to change your oil more frequently, then by all means, do it. But
you telling
me that my annual oil changes are "deffentily" bad for my engines is total hogwash.
Look at ANY industrial engine's recommended service interval. Notice that they are ALL rated by hours, not days, months, mileage etc? There is a reason for this. Usage and conditions. By changing my oil annually, not only am I NOT exceeding the prescribed service interval, I'm actually coming up quite short in some cases. For example- we had a very light winter this year. I MAYBE put 6 hours on my snowblower. So WHY exactly am I changing the oil more than once? Hmm? I'll tell you something- The ONLY reason I even change the oil annually on something with such light usage is because of condensation caused by the annual temperature cycle. For that matter, my environment is NOT exceptionally dusty, and I keep my air filters properly cleaned (and oiled where applicable).
Another thing to think about- My John Deere LA145 lawn tractor's service manual prescribes an oil change interval of 100 hours after initial break-in. I figure I cut the lawn about 20 times per year, at 2 hours at a crack. That equates to 40 hours of use annually. That means that I'm changing oil at every 40 service hours, when the manual prescribes 100. How am I killing my engines, again?
Not to hate on you, but don't make written-in-stone statements unless you are, well- right.
