Without a jackshaft, that sprocket will probably be way too small.
that new briggs is junk i have one its no good they run like crap if they run at all
That's a rather broad statement, isn't it? You have a particular engine which has possibly been mistreated, and/or ill-maintained, and/or just plain tired, and this makes ALL these engines garbage?
um mine was not mistred i change the oil in every 2 weeks its never been over reved i change things on it when they needd it and its brobily not got over 20 hours on it i know several people with engeines they take care of them and they dont have any luck with them either
That engine will run through armageddon.
I am glad you got some sort of thought out of that run on sentence toy story. I would call bs on the 2 week oil changes too. I have lots of lawn equipment that I change the oil on once a YEAR and only change the plug if it starts running poorly.
I too have had many many Briggs powered toys/equipment and I am more pleased with that engine than any other.
In fact, the only non Briggs engine I have ever owned is currently the Honda clone I have on my kart now, and if it ever acts up, it is getting a Briggs twin cylinder to replace it.
To each their own I guess, but a blanket statement like that needs proof to back it up, or I chalk it up to lack of actual maintenance or lack of small engine knowledge.
Take it how you will, but I would rather have a Briggs and Stratton powering my stuff than a tecumseh any day.
