If you dont even know what a valve looks like, i dont think you want to tackle this project. Better off getting a 5hp clone and calling it a day. No offense.

There's a big difference between a learning experience & causing irrepairable damage & this has the potential to go either way.If you're dead set on doing this, get a workshop manual & read it thoroughly before you go any further. It doesn't even have to be for this engine just something like it so you get the understanding of different parts & how they work.
Basically if you want to fix something, you first need to understand how it works...

whats the fun in that ?, at least with this i learn something, plus i do know what the valves look like and what they do, i was just interested if i had to place them back closed or open or as i found them ?

nice motor is it 125cc. if u want to make it really fast put really small sproket on the back axle

agreed here but theres no point getting a 5hp clone u may as well teach your self
get a work shop manual and read though it
it may also pay to read though some basic info on engines
like the How Stuff Works website
if u find the info and get a basic understanding then u might be able to come give u a hand on a week end
save u buying some special tools like a torque wrench
one thing though
here in Perth (worlds most isolated city)
clones are hard to find and retail for somewhere close to $600
a genuine Honda goes for $1200

exactly stuff is so overpriced, it is in the top 20 most expensive city's, i do have a basic understanding but il will get a lot more before i try anything, some help would be great, just wont be for a while though, got exams soon

a low weeks rent is $250 not including bills
a 3 bed 2 bath unit will set u back $350'000
not to mention fuel
is the engine over head cam
that complicate things alot with removing the head

...add at least $150,000 for Sydney. You'd be lucky to find a rental under $300 here atm...
