electric wheelchair motors can they be modified to go faster?

I hope this well help

this motor is out of scooter bealt drive cnain driven notice the grears one big and one small this make it twice as fast a wheel chair I got this motor for a 100 bucks off the craigs list its 24 volts one motors it all in the way you set up the grears i do hope this well help i bulilt a trike out of quickie P 300 wheel chair

the sprocets

you could see you can fit this on the shift that come out of tthe motor this sprocket gose on a trike axel in center

the ol hippie the thing that person has got to rember is how the motor is greared all power power in world is not going to make a fast motor it how you grear to run typ in sprocket on goolgle an ypu findo ut the prices are not bad in life you got to try do or startover :thumbsup::thumbsup:

if you go top of page will see motor that greard to abot 12 miles hours this is what they call a pace saver 2 it sodcter that needs 24 volts two battiers take look

wheelchair motors

I have modified wheelchair motors to go faster. I had them rewond with bigger wire. i went fron 6.5 to 9mph but if you want to go faster i have regeard the motor npc t47 now i do 15mph
to go faster yet i have robotrq ax2550he controler doing 20=mph
not bad for a wheelchair.

Yes did the motors come off a p-200 wheelchair?
And what controller are you using. I have the manufacture level
Of programming. There are three levels of programming vender/engineer/ and manufacture
Or factory. At the factory level you can set the max of the controller.
So the first thing to do is to reprogram controller. Venders cannot get the manufacture level
The way it works is the manufacture sets the level of power first from 1 to 100 %
They normally give a small % of power settings to the engineer. The engineer then sets the power
Level that can only program a little bit by the venders black box programmer.
After all of this has been done then I would modified motors if not fast enough
