Good lord- I apologize! Profusely.... Buzz through enough threads, and you start confusing them. That was another person's carb-related problem. My bad!

Lets' start with the basics. Pull the fuel line off the carb, and let it run into a suitable container. Is it running? Good. If it's not, find out why.

Then, remove the float bowl. Assuming your carb is built like most, right up the middle of where you just pulled the bowl bolt out, is your main jet. Remove it (usually with a small, flat screwdriver. Examine it. There's a hole up the middle of it. Poke a fine wire (like a bag tie with the paper removed) through it a few times, ensuring it is completely clean. Put it all back together, and try it. If that didn't rectify things, you'll have to go deeper.

Meantime, please post the model number of your engine, and we'll see what we can dig up for info.

So, after days of letting it sit, my dad tried to give a shot at it...and it started up first try. What he did was press the gas pedal while turning the key....if it ain't broke don't fix it?

*Should be... maybe it's not?

I can check if the throttle goes down all the way. I max out at about 35 MPH, given it's a 10hp do you think that sounds right? I can count the teeth if needed.

To crunch the numbers, we need tooth counts, tire diameter (measured accurately) and maximum engine RPM (which should be 3600 if nobody monkeyed with the governor.)

To verify these numbers, how did you measure the 35MPH?

yup, it was running for a bit it hovered at 33/34 for a while, then just barely touched the 35.

the rest of the data will come once I solve my brake issue...prioritizing here.
