Cool Pics. I love before and Afters.
Looks like you need a coat of paint and then that is a beautiful Ride.

Will This Setup Work?

002.jpg After sitting on El Cheapo, I noticed that my heels were right where the tie rods were. So I moved 'em underneath.004.jpg It seems to work-nothing is tightened down yet in these photos.....005.jpg Does anyone out there think this won't work? The ground clearance is fine and the tie rods do not touch the bottom of the frame rail. 009.jpg And it sure does look snazzy. Will there be any problem with the configuration of the spindles? This set up gives it a bit of rake and just the right look with the little baby slicks....006.jpg Thanks for any opinions.

DSC02840.jpg Tested El Cheapo today...the 99cc Predator was PERFECT. Someday I might put on a 212, but it looks a lot better with the smaller engine. Just enough power to get in trouble. It handles great-that steering setup works as good as it looks. The one wheel peel makes it fun to throw around.

Almost There

005.jpgEl Cheapo is almost there.....Just a bit of sanding on the front "bumper" and a splash of paint....A three day weekend ensures it will be assembled......

Nice Job. I like it, even in yellow it looks real clean. Engine, tires the whole pkg.
Hope to see finished pics this weekend.

Where is your kart, Genius?

It's in the garage getting tuned up and body work.

What is yours doing all-while looking only like a chassis ? and all slow and not fast.

Quick and fast...I bet all the women tell him that.

Yes, i let my women finish before me if i let her. Ha! Not on the track....unless i let her.

What is this you speak of? Where have you ever seen a picture of anything I own? This OP of this thread is making excellent progress on a very sharp kart, and you step in and make fun of the color. I'm fixin' to go all PoBoy up in here.

Hey FreeDummy15! Why don't you SHUT UP!!!
This Kart is Way nicer than anything you will ever build or own! Even if he Painted it Baby Schnit Brown!
Oh and Guess what? This one actually Runs and drives, Has a seat and a throttle! Compared to that One tire Fire, Swap meet azz, ghetto looking, Pile of Cat Vomit, you call a Go Kart.
As far as Women, You could not Screw your way out of a wet paper bag!!!

001.jpg Well-here it is. I performed the final assembly tonight. Tested the drivetrain and everything. The upholstery came from where else-BMI.....Cheap. Can't wait to drive her.002.jpg The whole project took two months and cost about $280.00 total. Not too bad. Of course, some of the parts came from my inventory-but that is why you have a shelf full of parts your fiancee wants you to get rid of.003.jpgThe official title for this project is "The Screaming Yellow Zonker"-there's a reference for all you aging baby boomers out there.004.jpg The 99cc Predator has a rebored and rejetted carb from AGK and an open header. Right now, she runs on the lean side....But it moves real nice, even with my 240 pound carcass on it. Thanks to all for any advice and/or comments.

It was 20 bucks on Ebay-nice vintage touch. I think this kart is SCREAMING for a Nassau Panel...

OOOh yeah a Nassau Panel.
Do you remember last years build off winner? "Slidewayz"
He builds and sells Aluminum Nassau panels.
Look him up. Super cool guy too.
