***Dont know much about this

Got his yesterday. I dont know much about these. I need to ge a service manual for it so I can start working on it. I dont even know what year it is. did a search but dont know what info I should pay attn. to.
These are the numbers on it:
KZ750BE016814
745cc up front
and back by the kick start it says 4000CC
Do any of you know anything about these?

well there are two numbers that say CC . one is 745 and the other is 4000. the 4000cc is in the third picture next to the oil cap.

The displacement cannot be 4000cc, even the Kawasaki Ninja ZX14 motor is only 1400cc. 745cc is more like it. They would round it up and call it a 750.

4000cc's converts out to just over 135 ounce's...

I think your engine is a 1981 KZ750. (nice score )

4000cc is the oil capacity, hence it's location right next to the oil fill.

To service the engine just change plugs and oil and when you get carbs makesure there clean.
Looks a clean engine for age.
Have you got exhaust headers and wire loom with cdi coil ect??
If not do you think you will struggle getting these.
The 2 holes that are on the top of the head of engine, are engine mount holeS they go to a bracket on bikes frame
Will be good engine for kart and its ok thats it combo start (kick and electric) isnt it?

hey metal & kieran I dont know if it runs. I need to find out what year it is so I can start to look for parts.
ander it seems like its the second link just posted. 77 seems a little old I wonder if I can still get parts for it.
I have never worked on something like this befor, so I am going to have to get some type of manual.
I dont know if I want to put it on the bat or build something else that CAN handle speed. The T-kart is designed for speeds over 30-35.
this engine has about 55hp at 7000 rpms .. that sounds fun
This is a 4 stroke ?!? I thought it was 2.
But all in all if I can get it working it will be a great score.

handa - ya I think it is both ele. & kick . I dont have the exaust pipes or the headers. I have the carb but its a little taken apart. The coil ? . I dont know , there are wires comming out in differant places. I have no idea what they are for ... but I am willing to learn.

The engine will be good in a kart because when you take off it will pull your skin back on maggot.

I know I'm going to need help getting this put back to gether. My neighbor said that I should get it fixed and sell it. I think I'll keep it ... if I can get it running.
The carb probable needs a good cleaning.

That is a 4 stroke, dual cylinder engine. Two carburetors, one per cylinder. I can see that you have them both in pic #5.

You got no wiring loom for it or coil cdi or exhaust ect? And the carb should clean up ok.
Do you no the bike it came out of

no I dont , the people said that it was sitting in their shed for a long time and they just wanted to get rid of it. the guy who lived there befor was going to use it for something but then he moved out and left it.

Some people love there new job wooooow proper d*ckhead cheer up.
pure off topid that but, for the engine chat i think you will be able to get parts of ebay easily.
Have you had a scan threw ebay, might end up getting them for very cheap.
