Anyone know anything about this kart? My buddy picked it up for like $50.

Looks like a vintage race kart, definitely a good investment at $50. That's about as far as my knowledge goes on most of the race chassis.

WHAAAAAT!!!!

That's DEFINITELY a 60s race kart! It's worth WAY MORE than $50!! It looks original and intact, too! The McCulloch 2 stroke engine could possibly be sold in the $300-$500 range as is! (please don't, it's way better to keep it with the chassis)

Can we see some pics of the rims? Sometimes those help figure out the brand.

If I were you I'd buy that from your buddy for $75 and not tell him what it is. :D:D:D:roflol::roflol:

YOU MONSTER!! ;)
Naw, just kidding. :roflol:

It would be very offensive to purists, but not everyone is a purist. Those 2 strokes are FAST though, with lots of HP and lots of RPM.

seat reminds me of the old Bugs...
but I cannot verify it to be one I'm afraid.. maybe it's a Bug Flea (ca 1965)
(if that seat "armrests" are supported by frame rails..
maybe even an older Stinger K (~1960'ish) or Wasp

And since I look at the seat flaring out I cannot but think Bug I'm afraid...
any sideview of the chassis perhaps?

Aw sweet! You've even still got the McCulloch exhaust! Those rims should help give a clue.

Indeed..

Margay rims are rare especially on non Margay karts ;)

So that'd be some Margay

the single tiny nerf bars to me screem Cheetah MkII
Maybe Mk I since I believe that also had a nerf bar like that.
(but I think that had a upward kink in the front bumper...)

So yeah Margay Cheetah (Mk II... maybe Mk I)

[EDIT]

well Cheetah MkII seems to be correct..
